Are hormones the only reason?
Fat distribution, muscle mass and energy use can change in midlife. Sleep, physical activity and ageing also play a part. The number on the scales does not describe your whole state of health.
What should I focus on?
Aim for eating, movement and sleep habits you can sustain. Build a plan that fits your daily life rather than following promises of rapid weight loss. Sudden or unexplained changes need medical assessment.
Does hormone therapy cause weight loss?
Hormone therapy is not intended as a weight-loss treatment. Evidence that many forms of hormone therapy directly cause weight gain is also limited. Treatment decisions should not be based on body size alone.
See it from your own perspective.
- How do I think about my health beyond the number on the scales?
- Which eating, movement or sleep habit would I like to prioritise?
Atlas points reflect learning steps, not your health.
